This will usually involve the setup of a mobile scaffolding tower where we are able to use a special roof cleaning tool that’s cut to the exact profile of your roof tiles to clean them from the safety of the tower. Using the tower means we don’t need to stand on the roof and risk damaging delicate roof tiles.

Once the moss removal has been completed it’s then on to the next stage of the cleaning process. We use a label compliant biocide which we apply by brush to the roof tiles. Once dry the biocide is absorbed into the tiles and kills the remaining biofilm left on the roof whilst providing residual protection from organic growth. Now the natural weathering of the roof tile will remove any dead black/white lichen that remains on the tiles.
